Is Ello the new Facebook?

New social media network Ello has made a big splash in the past couple of weeks, with its founder Paul Budnitz claiming that they are receiving thousands of requests per hour to join. But will it become a serious rival to Facebook? Ello has been dubbed the “anti-Facebook” because of their commitment to remain ad-free. They lay out their manifesto on their website, stating “Ello doesn’t sell ads. Nor do we sell data about you to third parties”. Despite seemingly presenting themselves as an alternative to Facebook, Budnitz told the BBC “We don’t consider Facebook to be a competitor. We see it as an ad platform and we are a network”. AC&M showcases video capabilities for WSS

Video is becoming increasingly important for story-telling on Social Media, and having Aldo Pineda (our audiovisual creative intern) with us for the summer we decided to create a short sample of what we can do. Thanks to our dear friend Jordy, over at Puma, we put on a fresh pair of evoPower Tricks and took them to the field to shoot this cool sample video! Recap – Adidas soccer ticket promotions

With Mexico touring the US to play Chile and Bolivia, we decided to put together some contests to offer some El Tri fans a chance to attend the games. Thanks to tickets from adidas, AC&M created two contests to support the promotions of both Mexico international friendly matches at a local level, targeting them to Denver and Bay area respectively. With only a week of preparation, we quickly rolled out a fun campaign and promoted on Social Media.
